Back to Nuneaton

We set off just after noon after helping with the Memory Friendly Service which is being organised in conjunction with the local Memory Cafe. We needed to fuel the car (now repaired after its damaged wing mirror from our last trip) but our usual stop ('cos it is usually the cheapest) Asda was completely out of diesel. It was busy so it took us some time to discover the problem and then extricate ourselves back onto the main road. Our next option, Morrisons, was unsurprisingly busy and we had to queue for some time!

It was already raining - very fine and very wet - so the journey up the motorway was a little slower than usual although a lack of significant holdups offset some of that.

In any event, we arrived at Springwood Haven Marina, near Nuneaton, a few minutes after 5 o'clock. As soon as we started to unload the rain became rather heavy but eased off later.

We will do the car shuffle tomorrow and then set off but it is not far to Hilmorton where we are booked in for the following month.
